Geopost is more than a company; it is a catalyst.
Our saga begins in 1999 when France’s La Poste Groupe created Geopost, forging a strategic instrument for parcel services to B2B customers. We spread rapidly to the UK and Ireland, sparking further transformative acquisitions that culminated in international reach rooted in a local leadership.
In the 2000s, the purchase of DPD expanded our breadth into Germany, Benelux, Switzerland and Spain. We made a strategic move in 2008 to enter the business-to-consumer market; DPD - once regional - became a European leader and further expanded into Poland and Turkey, enhancing our network while strengthening delivery capacities.
This leading position in the European courier, express and parcel (CEP) market allowed us to grow our network into other geographies. We cast sights on DPD South Africa and took a stake in Hong Kong’s Lenton. In 2009, we entered the out-of-home delivery business with Pickup, offering a new service to consumers embracing the emerging e-commerce trend. We infused investments into Italy’s BRT to complete our owned network in Europe in 2015 and entered South America with Jadlog in Brazil, followed by a Southeast Asia expansion.
By 2020 and thanks to our expertise in temperature-sensitive food delivery with SEUR frío, we had expanded further into this high-growth segment with the creation of Chronofresh in France. On the healthcare front, we had equally acquired Biocair, the global specialist in temperature-controlled logistics for life sciences and developed Chronopost Healthcare in France.
Today, we continue to explore the e-commerce value chain with E-Shop World (ESW) via Asendia. With ongoing investment in established and emerging regions, we are optimising our environmentally-sound practices around the globe.
Our position is unique: your international reference in sustainable delivery and commerce solutions, a solid global network powered by local leaders and experts.
