Biocair joins the festive spirit of giving with global charitable campaign

Press release 23 December 2024

Biocair is proud to announce that its annual festive campaign ‘Delivering Hope Together’ has raised money for local charities and community initiatives around the world. Embodying Biocair’s values to make a positive impact on the local communities it operates in, global teams have been participating in a series of events and initiatives throughout December, each targeted towards local needs.

In Germany, Biocair donated to national children’s charity Deutches Kinderhilfswerk, committed to giving all children across Germany the same opportunities. The charity has been supporting the rights of children for more than 50 years, working towards a child-friendly society in which children represent their own interests. With ongoing inflation creating challenges for families, especially around the festive season, support like this is vital.

The Biocair team in Belgium supported the Pelicano Foundation, a charity offering long-term support for children in poverty. The charity recognizes that each child needs an individual approach and is committed to helping them until they complete their education and can continue on their own path.

In the UK, Biocair matched all donations to local foodbanks, including the Cambridge City Foodbank, from employees, suppliers and customers. The team also participated in Christmas Jumper Day on 12th December to raise money for Save the Children. The US team will also wear their most outrageous jumpers for Ugly Sweater Day on 20th December, as well as donating to local foodbanks and Toys for Tots, a platform that allows supporters to purchase toys online, which are then distributed to children in need across the country.

The South African team organized a toy drive to support local orphanages and community projects. The team also contributed financially to provide essentials to children in need. In China, the company is supporting the China Youth Development Foundation, a national non-profit organization that works to supportyouth through education, science and technology, culture, physical education, health, andenvironmental protection.

"The power of local communities balanced with global reach is at the core of what we do at Biocair. The team’s ongoing commitment to supporting our local communities is testament to this and demonstrates the impact that we can have when we look beyond day-to-day operations. These initiatives reflect our commitment to corporate social responsibility and in embodying the values we want to see in our society.”
