A place to showcase products and benefit from ad hoc promotion to more than 1.3 million users of the myBRT shipment management app. We're talking about Singular, the platform reserved to BRT customers, a preview of which was presented at Netcomm Forum, the industry event for digital commerce.

Singular is a multi-brand platform aimed in particular at small and medium enterprises that offer typical products reflecting Italian excellence. Unique, “singular” products. Companies that will be granted access to Singular will not only need to have an e-commerce system available, but will also need to be committed to the local economic fabric and responsible consumption. The sectors of most interest to BRT are high fashion, food and artisan products, as well as interior design products for the home.

Singular is not an e-commerce system, but rather a large showcase capable of promoting and highlighting high-quality products in a very complex market environment, compatible with the main CMSs of e-commerce platforms. The actual purchase will take place on the producer’s e-commerce platform.

The platform will present users with a selection of unique products and a navigation experience inspired by that offered by social networks. Social media tools are heavily used as a source of inspiration for shopping: 70% of social media users look to these platforms for inspiration for purchases, and 48% of regular e-shoppers make purchases directly from social media platforms (Source: Geopost – e-shopper barometer 2023).

“Singular, but also the other services we will bring to Netcomm, represents what BRT is today: a logistics and transport partner and advisor that offers a suite of solutions to accompany and support companies in their business development”

commented Stefania Pezzetti, CEO of BRT.

"We are focused on innovation and the promotion of Italian excellence in international markets. Thanks to our solutions, we are able to add value to companies' business operations. As regards digital commerce, we are increasingly a point of reference for the management of the entire final phase of the consumer shopping experience, from the shopping cart to delivery.”

Netcomm 2024 is an opportunity for BRT to promote its suite of dedicated e-commerce services for both e-shoppers and businesses. One of these is the Digital Parcel Label, which makes it possible to ship an item without needing to print a label. The service, activated on a trial basis last autumn, is now available to all BRT customers. Online sales platforms or small and large e-shops will be able to offer a smart and flexible shipping solution to their customers. Individuals who need to ship or return a product will receive a digital label in the form of a QR code. That's all they need to do to complete the transaction at one of the over 8,700 BRT-fermopoints located throughout Italy. The Digital Parcel Label solution is aimed in particular at B2C companies that offer return services and C2C platforms. BRT is continuing to develop services to provide SMEs with access to digital markets. These include Plug & Ship, a plug-in that can be used by companies to integrate BRT systems with 80 marketplaces and CMSs.

Increasingly frequent cross-border purchases are also leading to growth of the digital market. E-commerce is a great opportunity for the internationalisation of SMEs with high-quality production. For them, BRT can offer a global shipping service thanks to the network of the Geopost group, a European leader in parcel delivery operating in 200 countries worldwide. BRT solutions are designed for every type of business and every product sector, providing autonomy to sellers and delivery option flexibility to shoppers. The extensive Geopost Out-of-Home network, with over 100,000 pick-up points across Europe, is also available for goods pick-up: a milestone that the Group wanted to celebrate in Italy on the opening of pick-up point number 100,000. BRT and Geopost is continuing to invest in the Out-of-Home solution as it is an option that is increasingly in demand among consumers because of its flexibility and convenience.

BRT’s international shipping and transport services will be at the heart of the “Every destination is within reach” campaign, launched a few days ago: promotional activities will be carried out at the 13 railway stations managed by Grandi Stazioni, alongside digital retargeting of station users, billboards made of recyclable materials in Milan and a web and social media campaign. The campaign will last for 30 days and will be repeated in September 2024.
