DPD Germany wins the German App Award 2024
News 19 January 2024
The DPD App is one of the winners of the German App Award 2024, presented for the first time by the news channel ntv and the German Institute for Service Quality. The decisive factors for the award in the "Parcel Services" category were a survey with over 30,000 consumer votes cast and an extensive social media analysis.
As part of the German App Awards 2024, consumers were asked last year to rate a total of 455 actively used mobile applications in 55 categories. The result: the DPD app is one of the most popular mobile applications in Germany. The customers rated the apps according to range and performance, usability, customer service and recommendation. Over 30,000 customer assessments were included in the survey via an online panel. In addition, relevant customer opinions were collected via an extensive social media analysis in order to determine the best apps with the highest customer recommendations.
Ricarda Roth, Senior Group Manager Digital Customer Interfaces at DPD Germany:
"We are naturally delighted that so many users are impressed by our innovative app. At the same time, the award is an incentive for us to continue to optimize the app. After all, we want to continue to offer our almost two million active users the best possible customer experience for sending and receiving parcels in the future."
Catja Stammen, Editorial Director at ntv:
"The results offer exciting insights into the world of innovative applications that influence people's daily lives. As co-initiator of the award, ntv wants to keep consumers up to date with digital trends."

About DPD Germany
DPD Germany is part of the international Geopost, the largest parcel network in Europe. DPD has 79 depots and 7,700 pickup parcel shops throughout Germany. More than 9,600 employees and 12,000 delivery staff work for customers every day. Every year the number two in the German parcel market transports over 400 million parcels. With numerous initiatives for sustainable parcel delivery DPD shows, especially in inner cities, how parcel shipping can be made environmentally friendly.
With innovative technologies and a consistent focus on the needs of all customers and recipients DPD offers a simple, convenient and flexible service for B2B and B2C parcel shipping. One example of this is the Predict Service, which is unique in the industry. It enables DPD to tell the recipient on the day of delivery exactly when the parcel will arrive, down to the hour. In live tracking within the last hour before delivery, the time window even updates to up to 30 minutes. Only recently the testers of Stiftung Warentest praised the live tracking of the test parcels they posted and the 100 per cent adherence to DPD's predicted delivery times. On the recipient side DPD is also therefore the only company in the test to receive the grade "good" for delivery.
