At the "Green Transport Awards 2024", organized for the fourth time by the Ministry of Transport and Lithuanian Railways, DPD Lithuania was honored in the category “Business Enterprise”. This prestigious award recognizes the company's dedicated efforts in implementing CO2 reduction strategies and the tangible results achieved in sustainable logistics.

The Green Transport Awards celebrate companies that prioritize sustainable transport solutions, foster initiatives to transform travel and transport habits, and drive innovation in eco-friendly mobility.

DPD Lithuania earned the award for its systematic and ongoing commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. This recognition is a testament to the company’s long-term efforts to make its operations more sustainable.

We are proud that our consistent work in delivering parcels more sustainably and sustainable solutions across our organization is being acknowledged and appreciated.

It is important to highlight the company's significant progress in recent years. DPD Lithuania launched its first comprehensive sustainability strategy, expanded its fleet of electric vehicles, and now delivers parcels using low-emission transportation not only in Vilnius but also in four other Lithuanian cities. Additionally, 69% of the electricity consumed in the company’s facilities now comes from renewable energy sources.

We are especially proud of our achievements in emissions reduction. Over the last four years, by implementing a range of sustainability measures, we have reduced CO2 emissions per parcel by an impressive 33%. Despite an increase in parcel volumes, we have also managed to cut our overall CO2 emissions by 6% during the same period.

The "Green Transport Awards 2024" winners were announced on October 10 at the Transport Innovation Forum 2024.
