DPD Switzerland will further strengthen its commitment to running in the coming years and has concluded long-term sponsorship agreements with four events to this end – in the knowledge that interest in the runs and the number of participants are steadily increasing. In addition to the SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne, DPD is now also supporting the Kerzerslauf, St. Gallen Auffahrtslauf and Greifenseelauf runs. These running events with distances ranging from 195 metres to 42.195 kilometres attract more than 35’000 participants and over 100’000 spectators.
Alongside its sponsorships, DPD has launched a running initiative within its own company: the DPD Pacemaker community. It is not only open to employees and their relatives and friends, but also to customers and partners. In line with its comprehensive promotion of exercise, health and team spirit, DPD supports the runners in their participation in the runs as well as in their training.
The programme includes coaching by Olympic silver medallist Markus Ryffel, a yoga class for runners and nutritional advice. Employees who have already taken part in the
