DPD UK's CEO - Global Female Leader of the Year

Business & Markets 3 April 2025

We are proud to share DPD UK’s CEO Elaine Kerr, has been named "Global Female Leader of the Year" in CEO Today’s 2025 Global Awards. This recognition from CEO Today—a UK-based magazine renowned for its insights, inspiration, and annual rankings like the "Top 50 CEOs"—highlights Elaine’s exceptional leadership in driving business success and positive change. Reflecting our belief across Geopost in equality, she’s made it her mission to build a workplace where everyone can thrive, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to position DPD as a logistics leader and a trailblazer in inclusivity.

Leading with a Vision for Inclusion

In her CEO Today interview, Elaine shares how DPD UK nurtures talent and fosters belonging. With a strong focus on DEI, she’s pioneered initiatives like a dedicated D&I team to hold leadership accountable. "When I became CEO I had a variety of things I wanted us, as a company, to focus on and do better. Inclusivity was high on that list," she explains. "I worked with the People and Talent team to refresh our approach." This vision ensures DPD supports its people, not the other way around, embedding inclusivity into the company’s DNA.

Inspire: Opening Doors for All

DPD turns inclusivity into opportunity through efforts like the Inspire initiative. "One project we’re particularly proud of is our Inspire initiative. This is where we partner with local colleges to provide supported internships for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)," Elaine says. With UK employment rates for people with learning disabilities at 5%, DPD offers job tasters and education on workplace norms, from financial literacy to etiquette. "We even created a dedicated classroom for these lessons," she highlights, supporting interns into full-time roles.

Training Leaders, Building Futures

Managers are equipped to deliver this vision with mandatory D&I training. "All managers in DPD have to undergo training around diversity and inclusion," Elaine states, covering topics like microaggressions and unconscious bias. Annual surveys and HR oversight ensure accountability, while initiatives like these reflect Elaine’s belief: "I want DPD to be the employer of choice in our industry."

A round of applause for Elaine—her leadership makes DPD UK a place where inclusivity shapes the future.
