DPD UK wins three awards at the road transport ‘Oscars’

Press release 7 September 2023

Firm has now won over 40 Motor Transport Awards in total

Parcel delivery company DPD UK took home three Motor Transport awards following a glittering ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

The firm, which is already the most decorated brand in the history of the awards, known as the road transport industry ‘Oscars’, won the Home Delivery Operator of the Year, New Talent Development and Urban Operator of the Year awards.

The evening celebrates outstanding achievements in the industry and recognises innovation, customer service, efficiency and quality. The awards are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.

Now in their 37th year, the awards were hosted by comedian and broadcaster Jack Dee and Motor Transport editor Steve Hobson.

It is the fifth time in seven years that DPD has been crowned Home Delivery Operator of the Year and the second year running the firm has won the Urban Operator award.

Elaine Kerr, DPD UK CEO commented,

“I'm absolutely delighted to win another three Motor Transport Awards and continue the incredible run we have had, given the strength of the competition. To win the Home Delivery award again and be the only express parcel delivery company honoured on the night is clear evidence that we are still the one to beat in this market and I’m incredibly proud of the whole team for the service we provide our customers, every single day.”
