We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Sustainability Startegy Award at the Global Sustainability & ESG Awards 2024, hosted by Sustainability Magazine. 

These awards seek to encourage wider adoption of responsible business practices and to recognize those who incorporate sustainability into their operations and decision-making. 

In February 2023, Geopost distinguished itself as the first global parcel delivery company to have both its near- and long-term science-based targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, with the aim to reach Net Zero by 2040. Aligned with a 1,5°C trajectory, Geopost is committed to reducing absolute GHG emissions from scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 43% by 2030 and by 90% by 2040, compared with a 2020 baseline. This commitment, and associated roadmap, is fundamental to Geopost ramping up its efforts to achieve its climate goals and become recognized as the international reference in sustainability.  

To achieve our decarbonization goals, Finance and Sustainability Departments have worked together to implement an innovative annual carbon budget that sets a maximum amount of CO2 emissions to be emitted for a given year and by each business unit.​ Ultimately, this enables business units to manage their CO2 emissions and associated investments, to ensure that they meet the decarbonisation targets set out in our SBTi trajectory.

Those shortlisted for the Global Sustainability & ESG Awards are making a significant impact on global sustainability by prioritizing purpose over profit and committing to sustainable development. 

The ceremony will be held on Tuesday 10th September at Sustainability LIVE London, located at the Business Design Centre.
