SEUR, the leading delivery company in Spain, has begun construction work on its new distribution center in the Las Salinas industrial estate in El Puerto de Santa María. This morning the groundbreaking ceremony took place, with the participation of Germán Beardo, Mayor of the town, and Fernando Lora, Manager of SEUR in Cádiz.
Construction work on this new 3,500 m2 center will be carried out over the next few months and it will be ready to begin operations around Christmas. The center is being built on a 9,500 m2 plot and will be equipped with a cold chamber for temperature-controlled shipments, five docks for trailers and seventy for vans. From these facilities, which will receive an investment of 3 million euros, the company will centralize all its activity in the area.
Germán Beardo, Mayor of El Puerto de Santa María, expressed his gratitude to SEUR and to Fernando Lora, SEUR's manager in Cadiz, for choosing El Puerto de Santa María as a center of operations to serve thousands of customers in Andalusia; enhancing the industrial fabric, but above all reinforcing the strategic position on the regional and national map. The first mayor hightlights that it is always a source of pride for El Puerto the arrival of a new company that generates wealth and employment, because it demonstrates confidence in this land and its potential. It is even greater if it is an infrastructure that comes strong in innovation as this center.
For his part, Fernando Lora, SEUR's Manager for Cadiz, stated that "This center will be a key point for SEUR's operations and a nerve center for the company in the south of Spain. We are looking forward to it becoming operational in order to reinforce and offer the excellence of our service to our customers in Andalusia".
