In 2023, SEUR frío experienced sustained growth of 15%, positioning the company as the leader in Spain in the category of temperature-controlled shipments. This segment has become one of the key growth drivers for SEUR, especially after a significant boom in demand from online consumers following the pandemic.
With marked growth, SEUR frío has increased its delivery capacity from 6,100 shipments per day to 7,000 in the last year, underscoring customers' growing preference for this type of service. This increase is accompanied by the expansion of its specialized fleet, which now has more than 400 vehicles, dedicated to both long-distance deliveries and local distribution. In addition, 80 of the company's warehouses are equipped with refrigerated facilities, contributing to the company's excellence in managing the temperature-controlled transport of packages containing temperature-sensitive products such as fresh food.
The range of products transported by this service includes fresh foods such as meat, fish and seafood, as well as ready meals, dairy products, pasteurized beverages and processed products, representing a broad spectrum of the food sector.
A new mile to the forefront of cold shipments
Committed to innovation and the development of effective and efficient solutions, SEUR has invested more than one million euros in advanced technology, implementing a system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to continuously and accurately monitor the temperature of shipments. This technology, which includes more than 2,000 temperature measurement devices, has been installed throughout the logistics chain, from delivery vehicles to containers and cold storage, ensuring the integrity and quality of the products delivered.
This dedication to improvement not only reflects SEUR's commitment to service excellence, but also positions the company as a pioneer in the sector, being the first in Spain to obtain ISO 23412 certification from AENOR for the transport of temperature-controlled parcels. This recognition underlines the quality and reliability of SEUR frío as the leading solution for the refrigerated transport of fresh food and other temperature-sensitive products.
