SEUR, official carrier of the Spanish University Debate League for the fourth year in a row
Press release 29 September 2023
- The company provides the participants and the jury with invitations to the final phase and all the material for the competition that will be held in Córdoba from September 29 to October 1.
- SEUR also supports the Pre-University LEDU Cup, aimed at high school students.
SEUR, the leading express delivery company in Spain, strengthens its collaboration with the Spanish University Debate League (LEDU) as the official transport of the competition for the fourth consecutive year. In this sense, the company will participate in the final phase of the competition, to be held in Cordoba from September 29 to October 1, and will send participants invitations to the event and various equipment with CO2-neutral deliveries.
Four years have passed this year since the beginning of the relationship between SEUR and LEDU. A connection that has been growing year after year between the organization and the pioneer company in express transport. In fact, it is the only one in its sector to support this initiative and also to be present in the organization of the grand finale.
With this sponsorship, SEUR endorses the younger generations and promotes their talent in the most important university dialectics competition in the country. Hundreds of students have participated in this competition, which began its preliminary rounds last October 2022, and ended in June 2023 after 14 tournaments all over the country. Now, with the final phase organized at the Exhibition, Trade Fair and Convention Center of Cordoba, 14 teams are competing for the recognition of being the best in Spain with a debate on the following question: "Can the economy be circular?
David Sastre, Chief Customer Officer at SEUR, points out that
"this is one of the initiatives that we are most excited about at the company. On the one hand, we support young university talent at a key moment in their lives and, on the other, we do so while protecting the environment with CO2-neutral deliveries, all with the aim of caring for the planet for future generations. We are very proud of this partnership, which we want to maintain and further strengthen."
In addition, SEUR has been part of additional initiatives launched by LEDU. Among them, the EY Voice, a training scholarship in which 20 students have carried out immersive training in public speaking for a week at the University of Alcalá de Henares; or the 400 Seconds project, the Pechakucha Challenge that has taken place at the College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid.
Alfonso Rodríguez de Sadia, LEDU's CEO, remarks that
"our goal of excellence always sets the bar very high in every aspect of the organization. And, in this, SEUR is an essential ally that allows us to connect talent and fulfill our commitment to sustainability. Their support for youth ensures that we will reach the future on time and in the best hands".
SEUR, also with the LEDU Pre-University League Cup
At the same time, SEUR will be involved in the celebration of the COPA LEDU Pre-University, aimed at high school students. A competition which will share place and dates with the final of the LEDU and which aims to position itself as the debate championship of reference among the students of this academic stage. As part of the agreement, SEUR will also provide logistical support to this competition.
