SEUR, which continues to modernize and adapt its facilities to the growth of its business activity, has started operations in its new warehouse in Ourense, located in the San Cibrao Das Viñas industrial zone. This new facility adds 1,000 m2 to the previous one, bringing the total to 4,000 m2, of which 1,500 m2 are for the logistics storage area and cold storage.
The opening of this new site aims to improve the service to meet the increased demand for ecommerce experienced as a result of the pandemic, improve the competitiveness of the company in Galicia and serve more efficiently the delivery areas of the region of Ourense and Deza and Tabeirós-Terra de Montes, located in the province of Pontevedra.
Thanks to the installation of a sorting belt with 12 ramps with the capacity to supply 46 vans simultaneously, SEUR's new warehouse has sufficient capacity to cope with the 66% increase in daily shipments that have been occurring this year since Black Friday and are expected for the rest of the Christmas campaign. In addition, this center has a direct point of sale, from which customers can approach to send or pick up their orders in person.
Sustainable challenge
Another new feature of the warehouse will be the adding of electric charging points, as SEUR's goal is to incorporate a zero-emission delivery fleet in the area, thus contributing to the company's challenge to become the most sustainable company within the sector and to carry out 100% ecological deliveries in the center of 20 Spanish cities by 2025.

A new logistics center in Vitoria-Gasteiz
SEUR, with the aim of improving its services in the Basque Country, has started up its new center in Vitoria-Gasteiz, located in the CTV (Ciudad del Transporte Vitoria), within the Jundiz Industrial Park. Operational since last September, the warehouse significantly increases the company's logistics surface area in the area, from 2,500 m2 to 5,300 m2, enabling it to increase its daily shipments by 37%.
The goal of this new site is to optimize and cover the growing demand for deliveries due to the boom in e-commerce in the delivery area of the Basque capital. To this end, SEUR has opted to provide the facility with technological systems that allow for greater efficiency in the management of packages. It also has a cold chamber that offers the delivery of fresh products in the area thanks to the SEUR cold service, and provides customers with a point of sale where they can manage deliveries in person.
In addition to increasing the logistics area and reinforcing operations with technology, for the upcoming Christmas campaign, which kicked off last Black Friday, the workforce has been increased by 30%, including delivery personnel and professionals in charge of the internal operations of the warehouse.
