Parcel service providers tested by Stiftung Warentest: DPD Germany is top in terms of delivery
Press release 20 October 2022
- DPD Germany impresses the testers above all with punctuality and transparency
- DPD Germany rated "very good" in two further categories
For the current issue of its "test" magazine (11/2022), the Stiftung Warentest consumer organisation compared the services of the five largest German parcel services as well as their corporate social and ecological performance. From the consignee point of view DPD Germany takes top position as the only company with a rating of "good" for delivery quality. In the overall results DPD Germany ranked second with a score of 2.6 – only just behind market leader DHL (2.2).
DPD's service quality is especially impressive in the "Sending and receiving parcels" category. The testers from Stiftung Warentest particularly praised the live tracking of the test parcels they had posted and the 100 per cent fulfilment of DPD's predicted delivery times. In addition, along with one further provider DPD Germany is the parcel service in the test which offers the most delivery options for consignees and reliably implements their wishes.
However, it is not only with its service quality that DPD Germany was able to make an impact in the practical test. DPD Germany was also awarded the top rating of "very good" in the categories of "Corporate social and environmental strategy" and "Transparency".
Commenting on the results Eric Malitzke, CEO of DPD Germany, states:
"The assessment by Stiftung Warentest shows that DPD is the partner when it comes to reliable and precise delivery solutions. With our all-round digitalised premium service we offer consignees and shippers an excellent customer experience. We are already working on the innovative concepts of tomorrow to ensure that we can maintain this quality commitment in future, too."
