DPD IRELAND'S HISTORY
From a small company of 10 employees in 1986, DPD Ireland has become Ireland's largest dedicated parcel delivery service with over 1,600 employees and one of the largest electric fleets. Its divisions include 36 depots nationwide, with nearly 700 employees based in the country’s only fully automated central sort hub.
In 2000, it joined Geopost; by 2006, business grew so much that the company committed €18 million to developing a new hub and headquarters in Athlone. Today it is among Ireland’s most productive companies. Last year it delivered about 48 M packages, exceeded revenue projections and expanded its workforce by 15%. It is inclusive, respectful, productive, challenging and rewarding - one of Ireland’s Great Places to Work.
